School readiness is about so much more than knowing letters and numbers. At Mudgee Kids, we see it as helping children develop the confidence, independence, relationships and learning skills they need to make a positive start to school.

Our Kindergarten program intentionally builds these skills through everyday experiences and play.

Children are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, make choices and have a go. Through our play-based program, they develop curiosity, persistence and a love of learning.

We support children to take increasing responsibility for themselves—managing belongings, following routines, caring for their environment and confidently communicating what they need.

School brings new friendships, new adults and new experiences. We help children develop the social and emotional skills to cooperate, negotiate, communicate, manage big feelings and build positive relationships.

✏️ Developing foundational skills

Through intentional teaching woven into meaningful play, children explore early literacy, numeracy, communication, fine motor skills and problem-solving in ways that are engaging and purposeful.

🎒 Making the transition together

We also help children become familiar with the idea of school, talk about the changes ahead and develop the confidence to step into a new environment.
